Rather than powder. <br />Or a mix of both. Like a 22LR, with a shot of nitrous oxide. Even if you could just add O2 too a normal gunpowder. It would burn more completely. But something that shot with "natural" gas, or better yet: H2+O2=H20, would be the easiest to create in the field. As water is easy to electrolize.
