As for the weekend's kickoff events... they have been spectacular. I didn't count everyone that showed up or came through for the get together but I would say there were probably 30 people there... and we have plenty more coming tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteThe ohio contingent should start planning to attend next year...I say we rent a motor home and shoot at as many road signs as possible on our way down (stop signs, yield, speed limit, etc)...that way, the locals will think we are southrons...we need a couple of rebel flags to plaster on it as well...we could have an ohio rally point such as Cincinnati or Columbus and go from there...
ReplyDeleteWe also should consider a few southronish accoutrements for the voyage, like a bust of Robert E Lee, anything Elvis, and at least 1 King James bible, and sweet tea...and a bag piper that can play "Dixie" that way if we do get pulled over, the piper could fire up his pipes and the state trooper would be fighting back the tears as he waves us onward
