ATF: Cultur War. Shots Fired.

Look...  be advised.  If you're sick of hearing about a certain group of bearded men and a certain interview and a certain shit storm that resulted...  this probably ain't the show for you.

This is war kids.   This is Black Flag Christianity.

And no.  I don't have a problem saying that while drinking and smoking and wearing a firearm.

If you think that is ironic... then you need a better education.

Now... speaking of that...

A:  Wild MF'n  Turkey.   Because 101.

T:  I am not smokin' at present...but I plan on lightin' up a Romeo y Julietta Havoc when we're done.  Because some God Fearin' Christian sent them to me.  Amen.

F: Why can't I get an AR chambered in 7mm-08?  Why hasn't this happened?  If it did happen wouldn't AR-10 mags work with it?  I want one dammit.  Someone make this happen.  Or I will.  Boy that'd be a helluva kickstarter campaign wouldn't it?

Anyway... if you can't tell I am kinda fired up tonight...  here's the damned link.

The Show.

Toothy,

Love the Browning Citori. Have my eye on a 28 Guage one for next year's dove hunt.

Did Outlaw have the green plastic army men?

Best shotgun I own. It's gorgeous. Most of mine are cheap Mossy 500's or Remmy 870's (but no Wingmasters yet...sigh...)

Well, if things go true to form, the good part of the show just began, and we'll get to listen to it later.

@ Toothy, thanks, great to be back and out of NY.

Nate, Vidad, final thought: the liberals quite literally do not know how to react when decent people stand up to them and fight back. They've all grown up with their side controlling the media, controlling the narrative, and, for the most part, controlling the bureaucracy of government. When we fight back and refuse to back down they panic and throw a hissy fit to quell dissent and when that doesn't work, they fall back on the old "let's find common ground to compromise on". Of course, what they mean is "let's pretend to be reasonable while you guys compromise your values a little bit." When that doesn't work, they start to have emotional breakdowns because their entire worldview is based upon their belief that they can emote their preferred reality into being if they FEEL strongly enough and repeatedly voice their feelings loud enough to drown out opposition. Punching them back twice as hard stuns them more emotionally than a well delivered right cross would stun them physically because they LIVE in a purely emotional world.

Put it off till summer and me and JAC will ride the BMWs up to say hi.

I would be into that. Toothy, i want to show you the AR buffer, if it works. Went to the machinist thursday. He is working on it as time allows. If i went elsewhere, it could go faster, but would cost me an arm and a leg.

Hey fellas,

What's a good inexpensive 1911. I year the Taurus guns are tough and work well. I also hear great things about the R1, and the new Ruger.

Well, Shed it is Christmas and they are on sale. Just go to Toys R Us and walk across the store. Look down each isle at the sign and look for broken and used up toys. Walk down that isle and I will be glowing orange on the bottom shelf.

It's thundering here and woke me up, always remember with the rain comes the thunder, and have a merry Christmas.

The one you bought 20 years ago. Don't try to get a cheap handgun, save up the extra money and get something that you love and that will last you and your kids lifetime.

Nate,

You can have an 7-08 AR for not a lot of cash. The AR-10 platform will handle it fine. Make sure you get a fast enough barrel to handle the 162 A-max and you'll be a happy camper. FWIW the 6.5 AR's kick butt too and they do just fine hunting.

Nate said...

Russ... Don't get a Kimber. Kimber's suck.

Get a SIG or a Taurus.

Raggededge said...

Russ...I have a Taurus PT1911 and it is holding up great.

Russ said...

What is your beef with Kimber Nate?

Giraffe said...

Nate, DPMS makes an AR in 6.5 creedmore. That would probably be ballistically superior to 7-08.

I don't know of anyone making them in 7-08 off the shelf, but if I see it I'll give you a holler.

Giraffe said...

Well that didn't take long. Remington has one on their website, the R-25 which is an AR-10. Remington and Bushmaster are owned by the same company so it may be made for Remington by Bushmaster.

I don't care for Remington anymore and I don't think you do either, but it is an option.

Para Ordnance and Remingtons (we've sold a bunch) - any cheaper and you're into the Philippines stuff - meh.

Personally, I'm not a big Taurus fan. Not here to argue, just my personal take. We've had some pretty serious customer service issues with them at our shop.

There is no such thing as an inexpensive Kimber. They're pretty, but Kimbers are overrated and thus overpriced - and their customer service... sheesh. Their magazine ads are, however, beyond compare.

I agree with Nate about the Sig 1911's - very nice. And honestly, you can't go wrong with a Colt, either. Pricey, but they will hold their value and/or appreciate like nobody's business.

And Nate, it would be an honor to meet you and JAC.

Ya'll come up to Copperheadfest 2014...

should have signed that toothy, dangit.

Nate said...

Really surprised to hear bad things about Taurus' customer service.

Honestly their CS was what sold me on them in the first place and what kept me coming back.

I've not dealt with them in years though so I'm not calling you a liar by any stretch.

Giraffe...

the Remington doesn't count.

I was only talking about actual firearms.

Not piece of shit Remingtons.

That's what I thought you'd say.

RE: The 7-08

The pressure level will be .308 or lower. This is the 7-08 REMINGTON.

Remington is a bunch of pussies when it comes to pressure levels at least until they dreamed up the Ultra Mags.

I have a 7mm WSM that will do about 3500 with a 120 grain bullet, but the pressure is higher and capacity is higher so no way the 7-08 will do that.

I don't like Remington rifles at all, but we've sold a ton of their R1 1911's and have yet to have a bad one...

Outlaw-X, if figure if hey put your action figure next to the GI-Joes, the GI-Joes would run away when they saw your battle scars and your radiance of the Holy Spirit...you may be broken and battered, but there is a deeper surrender to the Almighty that would un-nerve the would be heroes

we should make a CSA cavalry officers uniform for Nate to wear, with one of those big pimpin' ostrich fearthers, peacock feathers...and he could pull it off, wearing it, i have no doubts

we gotta pray that Outlaw-X is totally healed, so he can come as well.

Haven't seen em' in 7-08, but have seen some in .260 rem which is close to the performance/ballistics.
