Ok kids... we're running a little late due to technical difficulties. Sorry... we're gonna kick it off at 930 central or so...
As for the weekend's kickoff events... they have been spectacular. I didn't count everyone that showed up or came through for the get together but I would say there were probably 30 people there... and we have plenty more coming tomorrow.
Big fun.
here's the link for the show

I am sending evil badthink brain waves your way and vicariously spoiling all your fun!
JACIII......your badthink brain waves will most certainly not work. Last night was such fun! It was great to put faces and voices to some of the blog handles I've seen/read for all these years.
My husband and I won't be able to come to Saturday's shenanigans; you guys have a great time.........I'll be thinking of you and checking the police reports.
Oh, and thanks so much to Nate and Stg58/MF for organizing and hosting! And I'm sorry I missed Markku - I was looking forward to meeting him.
Bah! May they all end up in a home owners association and infested with body lice from their ongoing close proximity to dirty hippies!
JAClll.......you should have made the road trip with Nate. I asked about you....I can't quite remember what Nate said as to why you didn't.
The ohio contingent should start planning to attend next year...I say we rent a motor home and shoot at as many road signs as possible on our way down (stop signs, yield, speed limit, etc)...that way, the locals will think we are southrons...we need a couple of rebel flags to plaster on it as well...we could have an ohio rally point such as Cincinnati or Columbus and go from there...
We also should consider a few southronish accoutrements for the voyage, like a bust of Robert E Lee, anything Elvis, and at least 1 King James bible, and sweet tea...and a bag piper that can play "Dixie" that way if we do get pulled over, the piper could fire up his pipes and the state trooper would be fighting back the tears as he waves us onward
and having some blank rounds that we can shoot off into the air as we pull in to the rendezvous point would be priceless
You won't fool anybody cheddarman. We can see you driving slow in the fast lane.
The DC Sad Puppies meet-up was quite the success. I got to chat with John C. Wright about his book Awake in the Night Land, and met a few other folks as well (including a friend of Issac Asimov). Good times.
