1) Blanton's is quality bourbon but I don't like it. Blanton's tastes very different. It tends to be your favorite bourbon... or you don't like it. I recommend waiting till a buddy has some and trying it, rather than buying it yourself.
2) Jim Beam does make some of the best bourbon on the planet. I've never had Devil's Cut as the whole thing strikes me as a marketing ploy. Generally speaking... the "small batch" bourbons are the only ones from Jim Beam that I drink.

...and that the change was worth it, even if it meant a lifetime in prison or an enternity in Hell.
Good. I like this kind of country. Modern stuff is aweful.
Nate. Two bourbon questions.
1. What's the verdict on Blanton's
2. Ever try Beam Devil's Cut? I've heard you have some respect for some of their whiskey. What's the verdict?

This is fantastic. Thank you.
Happy "talk like a pirate day" Nate and ilk.
Aaargh.
Did you ever crack that bottle of Maker's White?
I would expect it to be harsh, but I'm curious as to how it tasted.
I was weaned on Porter...which explains a lot.
