We Lost a Friend

We lost Outlaw last night y'all... around 7:30.   I want desperately to write a tribute for the man... but if I were to do so tonight... I'd sound like a blubbery vagina.

And I'm not Bane.

So that won't do.

Forgive me y'all.  If ya need me... I'll be out back with a beer and a cigar.  Selfishly thinking how much I regret not shaking Gregg's hand.

A nice way to remember him would be his epic smack down of the 'stache on his own radio show. That transcript is epic and a permanent link to it would be nice.

RIP Gregg/EP/Outlaw X. The world as we know it is a little smaller and duller with your passing. Say hi to Bane for us, and behave until we get there to join you in the fun.

Rest for now, brother.

We'll miss you here, and see you there.

Nate,

Outlaw is with his Lord. That is where he wanted to be. You can rejoice in that.

My biggest regret is not going down and killing hogs on the Red River with him. He only invited me a half dozen times and I wasn't able to either get the time or the money together. When I had one I didn't have the other.

He said he didn't think he'd make Easter. I'll miss him.

Nate,

I understand not posting it on the blog, but do you have an address of the funeral home so I could send proper condolences?

Email it to me if you do.

Nate, you may not be Bane, but then again, he was not you either. You two made for some extremely entertaining reading back in the day.

I do miss that. Especially when you two along with a couple of others took on Morgan of the Lake and ChuckE. Oh the entertainment to be had on those days.

Yeah, I mess the days when VP was a small clan. EP made for some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen in online discussions.

I really wish I'd had the chance to sit with a beer and talk physics and theory of everything with him.

Of course, somehow I think we'll get that chance. I suspect there'll be plenty of mystery for our minds to wrap themselves around, come the next life.

Nate, perhaps we could have a collective gathering in honor of Outlaw-x. I got plenty of vacation time.

I've been lurking (mostly) since 2 months before Bane died...

Outlaw will definitely be missed...
