Anyone here?

Hey?

I bet this is gonna be a surprise for those of you see this stuff through a feed.  Yeah... it turns out I'm not dead or anything.  Its just a bunch of us have managed to find a different way to get together so I've obviously ignored this place.

But the old timers have been harassing me.  So I decided to put up a post.  Just so 2017 would at least have one post.  even if it was a sad little acknowledgement like this.

Not all of you guys have found the new haunt.. and I'm not gonna lie.. I miss ya.

hey.  Toothy.  I'm talking about you.

Anyway 2017 has been one helluva year.

I hope your 2018 is just as good as this last 12 months has been for me.

And... well...

How about this for old time's sake:

A:  Eagle Rare.  90 proof bourbon...  smooth as sweet tea.  Deadly.

T:  Gurkha Ghost.  Just that kinda night.

F:  How about this... an honest to God East German Makarov?  its in great shape...  and lets face it... there is a really good chance its executed a few people.   Thanks Wolf.

Happy New Year boys.

Well, well, well. Thought you had completely abandoned this place for the other, then here you show up out of the blue. Still a bit too early for the Quadrantids, but there ya go.

Let's see if I can remember back to NYE:
A: Speyburn 10year Highland Single Malt
T: Camacho Triple Maduro...or something like that.
F: Yes, and thank you Santa for the .44mag bullets under the tree.

OT: Nate, me and a buddy of mine will be in Alabama for a road trip in April. I don't know where you're at in the state, but have you heard of any good restaurants near Birmingham? Or maybe Huntsville?

Nate is not allowed in Birmingham. Nor is Birmingham allowed in Natesylvania. It's better that way.

Nate,

Is there a possibility of an "periphery" old-timer getting an invitation to the new place? I know I'm a little slow on the move on this, but I do miss the old conversations.

At least you have a relevant 2017 post. I went over to the old wasteland that's my blog, and the last post is 2015, and the last relevant posts were 2013. I would feel bad about it, but I doubt anyone was reading it then to miss anything.

He made a 2017 post because I spent nearly a month hounding him to do so.

Nate, how do I PM you?

He made a post three days before the Quadrantids because it is in his nature to do so at that time of year.

It was in the stars, so to speak.
