That's Special
So folks are celebrating Festivus... No doubt they will be criticisized for celebrating a fake holiday... no doubt some of the critics will think Kwanza is authentic.
Anyway... there is no way to really know when festivus is.. seinfeld wasn't specific. We assume its the 24th but we don't know. And why did they choose the 23rd anyway? Wasn't it really just to compete with Christmas? The pole obviously pays omage to the traditional tree, and wasn't even the original symbol anyway. Originally it was a clock and a bag... and the airing of grievenses and feats of stregth have clear roots in the pagan rights of the orient and Scottland.
Its common knowledge that the first Festivus celebrations were actually in the spring anyway.
