The Garden... Day 1
So today I bought 18 landscape timbers, and built the two planters. They are triangles, 3 timbers tall, and aproximately 8 x 8 x 12. That leaves tommorow to fill them with top soil, peat moss, compost, and whatever else I decide to throw in. All in all I figure to have under 200 bucks in this project when its done. Not to bad really. Landscape timbers are pretty easy to work with. You use them like lincoln logs and nail them together with spikes. More sturdy than I expected really. Pretty cool. It's not real difficult, though, if you had back surgery a month ago, it is a little rougher! For now the plan is for 6 tomato plants, and many many peppers. Who knows what else. We'll see tomarrow when I get the dirt in.
