Looks like some tough chewy mutton there.

Biblically speaking, those don't fit the popular stereotype, do they? Could there be a lesson there?

Was this a spur of the moment posting made easy by your phone?

So, is somebody in the family going to be spinning their own knitting wool? Love to watch sheep, goats, not so much. Unless the goats faint. That cracks me up.

How much acreage do you have now Nate? Your kids are going to have so much fun in their communing with God's creation.

Nate,

I realize this is off topic but I thought it might be decent fodder for an ATF post. I live in an area where the closest cigar shop is about 2 ½ hours away. I wanted to try a couple of smokes that can’t be had locally and I didn’t want to drop $80 in gas and half a day in the truck to get them, so I ordered them from an online cigar store, Cigars International.

What are your thoughts on the ups and downs of getting cigars this way and the quality of the smokes vs getting them from a local shop?

Look I love tobaccoists. I love tobacco shops. I love everything about them.

But... that is the one and only upside to city life. They get good tobacco shops. We rural types get the shaft. It is what it is.

So.. its cigar by net... and I have to say... the service from most of the places is fantastic.

I was a little worried after the fact. The smokes haven't got to me, it takes 6 to 8 days for them to get here.

My favorite online tobacco shop: www.famous-smoke.com. They're amazing. Best prices, great service, super-fast shipping and plenty of sales. Plus they carry my favorites at about 1/2 the price I pay locally.

Res,

I've been ordering online for about 5 years now. I absolutely love it.

The only issues I've had are a couple of cracked cigars, which the retailer replaced on my next order and the fact you can't personally select the cigars you get.

Aside from that and having to let the cigars sit in my humidor for a couple of days after they arrive, it's been a great experience.

I’m pretty much a novice on cigars and I don’t smoke them very often, but when I do, I want to enjoy it. The problem is that if I want to try something new I can’t get it without a long drive, so I’ve just been going without. I’m going to see how I like doing it this way and if it works out I might have a smoke a little more often.

You should see the donkeys.. I was out on a job with a one man survey station and was trying to keep the donkey away from a 5,000 dollar piece of equipment. I soon learned he wasn't interested in it he was interested in killing me. And being a government employee I was in unarmed except an aluminum survey rod. I beat the hell out of that son of a bitch while trying to get back to the pickup truck. Fortunately the owner came out with a shotgun with bird shot and shot him in the ass and I made my escape. I told the landowner I would not be back until he pinned that donkey up. Those are some mean bastards and he should have known he invited me there to do a pond design (Grade Stabilization structure) on his place. I was so fricking mad I never went back even after he called me three times.

They actually use donkeys in my neck of the woods (along with dogs) to protect the sheep from wolves. Fox aren't really that much of a threat except at lambing time.
