When Its Over...

Friends... I am ashamed to report that the Southern Party of Tennessee is all but defunct. It has no web presence what-so-ever. Its like it never even existed. The fact is a little painful for me.

I'm looking around though... and I'm thinking there is work to be done.

There are if's to contemplate. There are decisions to make.

The southern nationalist movement is not dead. As always it waxes and wanes with the state of national politics. You can bet that right now things are on the upswing. Which is the point of this post.

Sometime after 2008... people in the south are going to be pissed off and looking for an outlet. I think its time we consider what that outlet might be.

It just might be... the Southern Party.

Think about it... Hillary is elected over Guiliani... the people of the south have been forced to choose between two gungrabbing yankee babykillers... and the one they hated more won. When socialists come to jam their agenda down our throats... we need to be ready.

That means we need to get to work now.

My apathy is gone. When its all over... someone better be ready. Someone is going to have to put Humpty Dumpty together again.... and instead of the King's Horses and the King's Men... I'd like to see it done by Southron Patriots.

I doubt you come here for ra ra posts... so this probably came as a suprise. I'm suprised to write it.

Sometimes we do what we do because no one else will. Either way...

Mount up boys! There are windmills to charge...

If you'd support a national Southern Party... with aims of truely limited government... let me know. If you're in Tennessee and you'd support a state party... I'd be especially interested.

NateMail: The Awakening

A friend writes..

At my request a few months ago you recommended several books about the South, one of them being 'The South Was Right.' I have just started the book and early on the author talks about how Southern history was essentially taken (rewritten) from Southerners and it is time to reclaim that heritage. I couldn't agree more and the only thing I would add is that the whole country should reclaim that history.

I have a question for you that I hope you will answer: how did you personally 'reclaim' that history? By that I mean were you raised being taught accurate history or did you have to discover it for yourself outside of public education?

A fine question... and a fine topic. First of all I hope you enjoy The South Was Right. Its an effective enough book that its got to be right up there with More Guns, Less Crime on the liberals' Most Hated list. No doubt it infuriates them even more that it was written by the chair of a major university history department.

But on to the question...

I was born in a little town on the Ohio River in Kentucky. We were taught in school that Kentucky was neutral in the war... and that the good guys won. I remember seeing those civil war chess sets... and I always wanted to use the blue pieces... because they were the good guys. My father was, and remains a big time war buff... but his research focused entirely on the battles and strategy there-in. The politics of it never interested him.

It wasn't until I moved to Nashville... in high school.. when I read That Devil Forrest that my eyes opened.

The book should be required reading for anyone who thinks the war was about slavery. It should be required reading for anyone who thinks the Ku Klux Klan of today has anything in common with Forrests Klan beyond the name.

From there... my journey began... but it was slow at first. I knew something was very very wrong... and no longer associated myself with the blue guys.

Another big moment came in the late 90's when JAC took a trip to a little town in Kentucky. See... I was taught... as I'm sure you were... that Kentucky was neutral during the war. This is completely incorrect. Kentucky started out neutral... then seceded through a special convention.

Things changed then. I dove into american history with both feet. I spent hours upon ours per day... everyday reading... just devouring everything I could find. I read countless newspapers from the day... I read articles from periodicals... I read dozens of books. For the better part of 2 years I was online or in a book... pretty much the whole time my wife was in medical school.

What was the result?

A true life secessionist. I joined the Southern Party and have contributed as much as I could to that cause. JAC and I were well known in the movement back in the late 90's. Unfortunately it mostly self-destructed. For the longest time I always wrote my address as Occupied Tennessee.

I don't accept 5 dollar bills. I don't celebrate Memorial Day. I don't participate in federal elections because, in part, I believe that federal elections don't apply to me or my people. I don't consider myself a citizen of the United States. I consider myself a citizen of the Sovereign State of Tennessee. I've got my debate on the topic finally tuned to the point that I am basicly unbeatable. There is no arguement I haven't heard before and learned to counter. I will beat any yankee into a corner where his only options are to argue that Might Makes Right, or The Ends Justify the Means. Either way... he's lost.

While in Morgantown I urinated on a monument to the Union Dead from the War for Southron Independence.... several times... I may have even deficated on it.

But practicly? day to day? I would say that I am confrontational about history. I don't bite my tongue when some ignorant trollop repeats what he learned in 4th grade history class. I will raise my sons to know for certain which side was right and which side wasn't... and I prepare. I horde and wait... and wonder...

Back when Bill was President... support for Southron Secession reached a modern era high of 20%. University of North Carolina polls showed that almost 1 in 5 Southrons supported secession in 1996.

So I wonder... how high will those numbers get when Hillary is elected without winning a single state in the South? I wonder... will we get a rematch?

The Remington Model 700

The Perferred weapon...

of idiots.

Note to Remington owners: Take the bore sighter out of the barrel before you fire the rifle. Or better yet... Don't. The world could use a few less off-brand inaccurate rifles. Now... how about we try those Mini-14s next?
Hamilton was Right

"I go further, and affirm that bills of rights, in the sense and to the extent in which they are contended for, are not only unnecessary in the proposed Constitution, but would even be dangerous. They would contain various exceptions to powers not granted; and, on this very account, would afford a colorable pretext to claim more than were granted. For why declare that things shall not be done which there is no power to do? Why, for instance, should it be said that the liberty of the press shall not be restrained, when no power is given by which restrictions may be imposed?"

- Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper #84

When we find ourselves in a constitutional debate... how often are its merits determined by the Bill of Rights? Sometimes I wonder why they bothered writing the rest of the document at all.

Reading the Constitution seperately from the Bill of Rights... you notice a stark difference.

One document is full of specifics actions that are permited the government... such that all other items not specificly listed are forbidden. The Bill of Rights however... it suddenly switches to a list of prohibitions.

Correctly read, both limitations apply. The government can only perform the specific functions itemized, and must do so without violating any of the listed rights in the Bill of Rights.

But that's not the way it worked out. It created confusion... it created an inconsistancy which evil men were able to exploit to expand the government and by proxy their own power.

Yep... the Articles of Confederation are looking better all the time.

Here's to you Alex. Its a shame they didn't listen to you.

The World's Leading Moron

Says Amanda:

"To see that abortion is moral, you just need to look at women as human beings with lives that have value. When a woman chooses abortion, she’s not indulging some guilty pleasure, like sneaking in a round of adultery at lunch, to bring up a genuinely immoral action that should not be criminal. She is probably thinking about her family’s well-being and yes, her own well-being. Taking your own well-being into consideration is called “selfish” by anti-choicers, but I think valuing yourself is a moral good, even if you are female. In fact, especially if you are female, since you live in a world where having self-esteem can be an act of moral courage that requires some defiance. If I got pregnant, I wouldn’t even have to suffer much mental strain to realize that abortion would be the best choice for myself, my family, and my relationship. Abortion, not just the right to abortion but the actual procedure, is a moral good that helps women and families and should be honored as such. Women who get abortions should be recognized as people who can accurately weigh their choices and make the most moral one. ."

While the post by Amanda should be required reading for everyone woman who claims to be a feminist... one cannot help gawk at the obvious stupidity.

Amanda is a walking talking stereotype... the female to caught up in her own goddess blessed self-actualization to bother with reason or accountibility.

According to this line of thinking... all killing is moral... all killing is good. There isn't a person in the world who couldn't look at this and substitute themselves for the palestinian and people X for the jew.

There is a long list of folks that apparently it is moral for me to kill... including:

1) All Yankees
2) All self professed liberals
3) Anyone who votes Democrat

If I were a feminist... I would be doing everything I could to shut this idiot up.

Since I'm not... I love her.

Keep it up Amanda... you do the heavy-lifting for us.

Taurus Cowboy Action!

Check it out! Does that look like fun or what? They're chambering them in .357 and .45lc. I don't know if they have a .44mag planned or not. Probably so. Either way it looks like a blast to shoot.

Personally I have a Ruger Vaquero and a Winchester Model 94... both in .44mag for cowboy action shooting. I like both, but I may have to give this new rifle a shot. The little Winchester may get retired.
What We've Forgotten

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. — JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821)
Sundown... You Better Take Care

"A disturbing recent phenomenon in Washington is that laws that strike to the heart of American democracy have been passed in the dead of night. So it was with a provision quietly tucked into the enormous defense budget bill at the Bush administration’s behest that makes it easier for a president to override local control of law enforcement and declare martial law.
The provision, signed into law in October, weakens two obscure but important bulwarks of liberty."

It should be noted that its a supposedly Conservative President that is scratching and clawing for every inch of power he possibly can. But who am I kidding? Bush never claimed to be a conservative. He's only claimed to be a Republican. If Guilliani can be a Republican... then surely the party doesn't mind including gun-grabbing, baby-killing, liberals.

At any rate... there's no reason to sneak this sort of legislation through... and there is no reason to bother with it, unless you're pretty certain you would need to use it.

And under what circumstances would you need to use it?

Tell me... does anyone feel safer now that the federal government can use the Army as its very own police force... for pretty much any reason it wants?

Its a good day to check your ammo supplies and clean your weapons boys.

Blood in my Eye: The Vox Day Story

- By JamieR

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of Italian World Cup supremacy, it was the age of Neo-Cons, it was the epoch of Treos, it was the epoch of online female sports writers, it was the season of indoor soccer, it was the season of Serie A match postponements, it was the spring of goal scoring, it was the winter of eye patches. Vox Day had the game before him, Vox Day had the game behind him, he was going direct to hospital, he was going direct from the game…

As the sun set on another woggy day, blogger at large Vox Day pondered. He pondered his team, he pondered his abilities, he pondered the task before him, he pondered victory… For tonight, his indoor soccer team, the Italian Handbags, were playing the much feared German Reinforcements. The crowd was eager. The Italian team finalised their warm ups - one by one they hugged their mothers in the pre-match ritual, while the boxheads stared at their opposition and simply rolled their eyes. They were not to do it for all though…..they didn’t do that in Vox Day’s direction. Oh no. Vox Day was to be feared, Vox Day was being massaged by a one Spacebunny, while he finished up ebook number five for the day on the Treo.

"Ich möchte gern wissen, wer er ist."

The boxheads were curious. But they were not intimidated. Not by a long shot.

The referee had walked onto the field of play and the players were assuming their positions. Vox Day cooly strode out. He cooly strode back. He had forgot to do something. Looking at Spacebunny, he raised her hand with a smile…then kissed his Treo. "Wish me luck," he asked of the small little device.

The Germans lined up alongside their Italian counterparts, and the one wogalini soccer-playing Anglo. The whistle blew and like an efficient machine the Germans begun their assault, the Italians fought valiantly, throwing themselves down at every opportunity and drawing fouls. The skill level was intense, never before had so many woggos gone down like pansies!

Germans cooled the physical offensive and looked for gaps to get ball movement, but within the smaller confines of indoors it was rather hard, and the battle continued… The sweat was pouring, the goalkeepers were getting a workout as they saved shot after shot… This was a stalemate, no team had the advantage, it was not long before the half time whistle blew with the score tied at zero zero.

The teams went straight for the refreshments. Vox Day jogged to Spacebunny who had already served up his half-time cappuccino.

Appearing tired but resolved, Vox Day stared out onto the pitch, listening to the coach but also reliving past glories… If this game was going to be won he was going to have to want the ball, and to make something happen.

The players clapped as the coach finished his pep speech, Vox put down his cup and jogged back out, it was time…

The ball bounced furiously around as the teams looked for any advantage. The boxheads were getting frustrated, but then so was Vox… It was then that Vox saw his opening… The ball bounced off the wall and sat at his feet, he dodged one boxhead, he dodged a second boxhead, before he knew it, the goals were upon him….. It all happened so fast and from five feet out, Vox saw the goal opening and struck it…..

The goalie blocked, BAM!

Immediately it came back, BAM! Into his face, BAM! Into the back of the goal! BAM!!!

GOOOOOAALLL!! It was the advantage! Woggos danced around excitedly! But Vox lay rolling around on the ground, ensconced in pain, holding his eye. It was too much, he got up, after some time, but the sight in the eye was gone, the ambulance was being called, reality was spinning, Spacebunny was stressing, Vox was worried. The paramedics were there fast, Vox Day was whisked onto the stretcher!

"You're gonna be alright son, you're gonna be alright."

As he was furiously wheeled away he yelled out one last thing…

"Spacebunny! Spacebunny!!! Don’t forget the cappuccino machine!!
Cappucino machine……"

But then...

Hospital lights. Doctors. Nurses. Vox awoke and stared at the ceiling. He felt something gripping his hand, it was his Treo, held in there by Spacebunny.

"Am I gonna be okay?" Vox asked.

Spacebunny brushed his hair back, "Sure honey, they’ve got wi-fi access here."

And with that, Vox hit Blogger to let the masses know in limited form of the drama that unfolded that day in one of the great moments in armchair sports.
The Tone of Debate

Lately I've found myself in a few debates on the topic of Babykilling. In the interest of communication I'll point out that other folks call it abortion. I call it Babykilling. Some folks call them abortionists. I call them Babykillers. Some folks call themselves Pro-Choice. I call them Pro-Babykilling. Other folks call themselves Pro-Life. I call myself Anti-Babykilling.

Because terms are important.

Would you cordially discuss race with someone who continually referred to his god given right to hang black folks from trees and refused to use any words to describe them but nigger or coon?

How would you feel about that person? Would you reach out to him? Try to convince him he's wrong? When he disagreed with you... would you walk him out to the tree and comfort him while he hung another black fella?

Would you hold the Nazi's hand while he pushed the jew into the oven?

Of course you wouldn't. Its ridiculous. Its insane.

Well dear reader, the next time you find yourself refering to a fetus... I ask you to stop and think. You're not using the word fetus because its scientificly correct. Just like the racist isn't using the word nigger because of its geographical descriptive capability. In each case, the word is used to dehumanize a living human being.

Killing a baby is repugnant... but... why not abort a fetus?

Yesterday a supposed "pro-Life" volunteer told me of how she councils women who're about to kill their baby... she loves them... she listens to them... then if they decide to commit murder... she facillitates it by driving them down to the slaughterhouse and holding their hands while the butcher does his thing.

That's not love. Its evil. Its not acceptence. Its hypocracy. Its discusting and vile.

There is no way you could truely believe that a human life was being brutally ended, and sit there and comfort the woman responsible... while she was doing it.

Pro-life Volunteer- Oh Mrs Yates... please don't kill your kids.

Mrs Yates- I'm so tired! And they just keep wanting more and more! What about ME! What about I want? I'm doing it.

Pro-life Volunteer- But its going to be so hard... and you might regret it someday.

Mrs Yates- I have to do what I can to make myself happy. My happiness is paramount. blah blah blah me me me blah blah me me me me me me me. I'm doing it.

Pro-life Volunteer- Ok then.. I tried. I still love you and Jesus loves you too... now let me help you round up these kids then we'll run the water together. I'll be right there with you the whole time you poor thing.

Is that how you think it should go? Or should it maybe go like this:

Anti-baby killing Volunteer- I'm not going to let you kill your children.

Mrs Yates- I'm so tired! And they just keep wanting more and more! What about ME! What about I want? I'm doing it.

Anti-baby killing Volunteer- Get a nanny. Give them up to someone to adopt. Hell... give them to me. But if you lay one hand on them...

Mrs Yates (while holding baby over full bathtub)- I have to do what I can to make myself happy. My happiness is paramount. blah blah blah me me me blah blah me me me me me me me. I'm doing it.

911- This is 911 what is your emergency?

Anti-baby killing Volunteer- I think I'm going to need to you to send someone down to this address.

911- Who should I send? what's going on?

Anti-baby killing Volunteer- this psycho was trying to drown her own kids in the bathtub and I shot her.

911- Good for you.

Isn't that better?

So... let me be clear... If you can tolerate someone using dehumanizing terms like fetus better than nigger... the most likely explaination is that you either just haven't thought about it at all, or you don't really think we're talking about living humans just like us.

If you really believe we're talking about murder then lets face it... you can't play nice. Its not possible. You wouldn't play nice with some neo-nazi defending his right to burn jews. You'd recoil in discust... or punch him in the face. You wouldn't wring your hands and shuffle your feet and fret over hurting his feelings.

Its time to change the tone. Its time to decide if we're talking about living humans or not.

Where is the righteous anger? Its time to call a babykiller a babykiller.

How's it goin' boys? Its been a helluva a day down here in Tennessee I tell ya what... colder than dammit... I ain't seen my nuts in 3 days I swear. S'ok though... s'posed to be in the 60's next week. That's why the South rules right there.

Well... its Friday night... drink up boys... may as well get to it.

What are we talkin' about tonight? Oh yeah... I remember... Crom done got me fired up talkin' about some piece of shit rifle... got me thinkin'... which is dangerous... about guns I can't stand. Hell we talk all the time about guns we love. What about the ones we hate? I know you've got at least one that just irritates the shit out of ya by its mere existence. Lets here it!

Well... Lets make a list...

1) Ruger Mini-14. Calling it a piece of shit is disrespectful to excremint everywhere. You should never call a damned gun smith to work on one... you should call a plumber. Its about as accurate as a blowgun with bent darts. Not to mention its butt ugly. I have no idea where they got the action for this thing... I'm convinced some Ruger accountant found it a chinese company's reject pile and decided to have them make a bunch of them real cheap... I don't know for a fact its pot mettle... but it sure as hell seems like it. I'm suprised its not sold at home depot next to the solder irons and flux. Rest assured... if I ever own a gun shop... I'm going to ban these rifles from my store. Bring one in at your own peril. Plumber is up the street.

2) Ruger P Seriers. Skies blue... water's wet... these pistols suck. The springs break for crying out loud. How does that happen? Seen it 3 times now. Not only that... the mags fail... and the gun has a remarkable tendency for inaccuracy. Can we throw ugly in the mix to? Oh yes we can. Not to mention.. the ergonomics suck. This is in fact the perfect cop gun. Why? because they never shoot... and if they ever shoot at you... they're damned near guaranteed to miss. Junk Junk Junk.

3) Remington 700. Nothing screws up a pretty gun like a cheap control lever. Remington has the cheapest looking one I've ever seen. Toasters from the 1970's had better looking levers than the clunky looking safety on the 700. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Every time I look at one my eye goes straight to that ugly damned saftey. And how about the big claw extractor on the 700? that's right... it doesn't have one... it has this girly looking hook that looks like something Winchester would put on a lever gun. Speaking of lever guns...

4) Winchest Model 94. This is odd because I actually have two of them and I like shooting them. One's in.22 mag... and the other is in .44 mag. Both very useful rifles. Both accurate and fun. So why do I hate them? History. I could do a 3000 word post on why the Winchester Model 94 is inferior to the Savage 99... or I could post pictures of their actions side by side. Either would be just as convincing. The US military's storied history of buy cheaper inferior weapons... even when far superior weapons are competitively priced, starts here. At least I think it does. The Gun That Won the West should've been my all-time favorite rifle... the Savage Model 99.

5) Glocks. All of them. Duh.

6) Desert Eagle .50. Why does this gun exist? Someone tell me. Is it just to sell to idiots who don't realize how useless it is?

What about you?

Oh... um... 4 bud ices... and now on to the bourbon... unknown which fine bottle I shall choose this night.
Chaos in the Petting Zoo

Its Friday and all so I thought I'd provide you some comic relief. See I've been having a little fun over at Nashville is Talking again.

See what havok one informed Anti-BabyKiller can wreak. At some point I'm going to create my very own "Target Rich Environments" section and put a link to NiT there. Perhaps I'll call it the Barrell of Fish.

The shooting is about that easy.

To quote Tim..

Look at the Bones!!!

NateMail: A Moral Delima

Reason Sent this:

Anyway, I've got a bit of a dillema I'd like to get your input on. I
posted it on my blog, but here it is for convenience:

All blonde-haired, blue-eyed men named Ned(Name Changed- ed) are to be made slaves
to the State. We will not be harmed, so long as we cooperate. We will have our basic needs met, and even our families will be cared for. We just won't be free.

Shall I fight? Will you fight on my behalf? I wonder. My life is not threatened. My family's life is not threatened. Only my freedom is to be dispensed with. The Bible allows me to kill indefense of my life or the life of another, but slaves are commanded to bey their masters, even abusive ones. Perhaps under these circumstances, the right thing to do would be to submit, knowing that my life is temporary and has been bought with a price. It belongs to my Creator.

What if it were not me? What if it were blonde-haired, blue-eyed men named Adam? It would seem noble to fight on their behalf, for their freedom and natural human rights. But is my freedom, or anyone else's for that matter, worth the price of a life?

The short answer is yes, you should fight. Here's why... the declaration of slavery is illegal. Therefore you are not as a Christian advised to honor it. Plus, its well established and likely that the slavery would limit your ability to practice Christianity. Therefore not only can you fight... but you must fight.

Another way of looking at it is... when to force them into forcing you to defend yourself. In otherwords you simply ignore them until they come for you, at which point you start killing them.

What is one's life worth anyway? Its a temporary thing. Christians have no reason to fear death at all. Why wouldn't you fight? Its a war, and there is no sin in killing in war.

I would start sniping government officials.
Throw Out Your Peter Pan

If ya have Peter Pan Peanut Butter ya better consider tossing it. The FDA has warned that it may have the funk in it. For the specific funk it may have... read here.

Check the serial number on the top of the cap. If it starts with 2111... its effected.

I found a jar in my pantry. So did some folks in Murfreesboro. You may as well.

Over the past 2 weeks or so there have been over a dozen home invasions in Nashville. Mostly hispanics have been targeted, but its not limited to them by any stretch. Another one happened last night. A man and his wife were both attacked. The man died.

Folks... please consider this kind of attack. Dialing 911 isn't going to help. The police will arrive just in time to clean up the mess, but far to late to stop it from getting messy in the first place.

Lots of people don't want to face the reality that they are responsible for defending themselves. They'd rather just not think about it. If that's your attitude I suggest you get out of the city and move to somplace where home invasions don't happen.

Deadbolts are good, but deadbolts won't stop a determined attack.

These folks will get in, and they have already killed a few people. Why wouldn't they kill you to?

Yeah... deadbolts are good.

Big dogs and shotguns are better.

The End of the Abortion Debate

The debate on abortion ends here. It ends now.

The question of abortion boils down to a debate on when an unborn alive... and when it is said to be human.

These are not complex questions. In fact, science has already asnwered them.

So... is it human?

How do we tell a cellular sample of a goat from a monkey? DNA. So then how do we know if the cells in the female's body are human? Its simple. They are human because the DNA they contain is human. That DNA is present from the instant the egg is fertilized. In fact, prior to implanting harvestest fertilized eggs during the process of invetro fertilization, scientists often run DNA testing on them to determine if they have certain genetic issues... like downs for example. They are also capable of determining the sex. So if you want all girls, they can choose to only implant girl eggs. So not only can we prove its human, we can tell you a great deal about it as an individual.
So its human... but is it alive?

Science answers this by listing criteria... symptoms if you will... of things that are alive. Growth for example... Metabolism... organization...

When we look at the fertalized human egg we see an organism that is rapidly dividing. In the first 24 hours it divides over and over again. It metabolizes... it grows. Again in the case of Invetrofertilization we can watch this happen. We can see the organism metabolize and divide. There is no question that it is alive, by even the most stringent of definitions.

It is human. It is alive... and since DNA also proves that it is individual, then it must be concluded that this is a living human being with basic human rights, including the right to life.

Killing it is Murder.

God says so. Science says so.

And I says so.

Another Happy Gun Stat

According to the Census there are 5,689,283 people in Tennessee. Divide that number by 300,000 concealed carry permits issued... and more each month... and you learn..

1 in every 19 people in Tennessee have concealed carry permits.

liberals can cower in fear now.
Good News

Just a little gun stat for ya. From 1994 to 2004, over 200,000+ law abiding residents of Tennessee have obtained a handgun permit. Tennessee residents still submit about 2,000 new applications every month [Tennessee Department of Safety statistics].

Today there are around 300,000 concealed carry permit holders legally, and peacefully, exercising their rights.

That's a big number.

How Far Feminism?

In 2008, for the first time a female will be the odds on favorite to win the Presidency. Feminists will no doubt talk about what a grand and historic moment it is... and what a milestone it is for thier movement.

To them I ask this one question.

How did Ms Rodham get to be President?

Oh sure... she has the yale credentials... but so do countless other girls. What made Ms Rodham different?

The undeniable truth is... Ms Rodham never would've been President without winning that first senate race... and she never would've won that first senate race...

If she hadn't been putting out for Bill Clinton.

Congratulations girls! Hilary is living proof that you still know how to sleep your way to the top.

A feminist milestone if ever there was one.
Greatest Interview Ever

*** From Drudge***

Czech president Vaclav Klaus has criticized the UN panel on global warming, claiming that it was a political authority without any scientific basis.

In an interview with "Hospodárské noviny", a Czech economics daily, Klaus answered a few questions:

Q: IPCC has released its report and you say that the global warming is a false myth. How did you get this idea, Mr President?

A: It's not my idea. Global warming is a false myth and every serious person and scientist says so. It is not fair to refer to the U.N. panel. IPCC is not a scientific institution: it's a political body, a sort of non-government organization of green flavor. It's neither a forum of neutral scientists nor a balanced group of scientists. These people are politicized scientists who arrive there with a one-sided opinion and a one-sided assignment. Also, it's an undignified slapstick that people don't wait for the full report in May 2007 but instead respond, in such a serious way, to the summary for policymakers where all the "but's" are scratched, removed, and replaced by oversimplified theses. This is clearly such an incredible failure of so many people, from journalists to politicians. If the European Commission is instantly going to buy such a trick, we have another very good reason to think that the countries themselves, not the Commission, should be deciding about similar issues.

Q: How do you explain that there is no other comparably senior statesman in Europe who would advocate this viewpoint? No one else has such strong opinions...

A: My opinions about this issue simply are strong. Other top-level politicians do not express their global warming doubts because a whip of political correctness strangles their voice.

Q: But you're not a climate scientist. Do you have a sufficient knowledge and enough information?

A: Environmentalism as a metaphysical ideology and as a worldview has absolutely nothing to do with natural sciences or with the climate. Sadly, it has nothing to do with social sciences either. Still, it is becoming fashionable and this fact scares me. The second part of the sentence should be: we also have lots of reports, studies, and books of climatologists whose conclusions are diametrally opposite. Indeed, I never measure the thickness of ice in Antarctica. I really don't know how to do it and don't plan to learn it. However, as a scientifically oriented person, I know how to read science reports about these questions, for example about ice in Antarctica. I don't have to be a climate scientist myself to read them. And inside the papers I have read, the conclusions we may see in the media simply don't appear. But let me promise you something: this topic troubles me which is why I started to write an article about it last Christmas. The article expanded and became a book. In a couple of months, it will be published. One chapter out of seven will organize my opinions about the climate change. Environmentalism and green ideology is something very different from climate science. Various findings and screams of scientists are abused by this ideology.

Q: How do you explain that conservative media are skeptical while the left-wing media view the global warming as a done deal?

A: It is not quite exactly divided to the left-wingers and right-wingers. Nevertheless it's obvious that environmentalism is a new incarnation of modern leftism.

Q: If you look at all these things, even if you were right ...

A: ...I am right...

Q: Isn't there enough empirical evidence and facts we can see with our eyes that imply that Man is demolishing the planet and himself?

A: It's such a nonsense that I have probably not heard a bigger nonsense yet.

Q: Don't you believe that we're ruining our planet?

A: I will pretend that I haven't heard you. Perhaps only Mr Al Gore may be saying something along these lines: a sane person can't. I don't see any ruining of the planet, I have never seen it, and I don't think that a reasonable and serious person could say such a thing. Look: you represent the economic media so I expect a certain economical erudition from you. My book will answer these questions. For example, we know that there exists a huge correlation between the care we give to the environment on one side and the wealth and technological prowess on the other side. It's clear that the poorer the society is, the more brutally it behaves with respect to Nature, and vice versa. It's also true that there exist social systems that are damaging Nature - by eliminating private ownership and similar things - much more than the freer societies. These tendencies become important in the long run. They unambiguously imply that today, on February 8th, 2007, Nature is protected uncomparably more than on February 8th ten years ago or fifty years ago or one hundred years ago. That's why I ask: how can you pronounce the sentence you said? Perhaps if you're unconscious? Or did you mean it as a provocation only? And maybe I am just too naive and I allowed you to provoke me to give you all these answers, am I not? It is more likely that you actually believe what you say. Well, it makes a lot of sense, Prof Klaus.
Infant School

When exactly did we become to busy to raise our own kids?

Kids used to start in the first grade. It made sense... numericly speaking anyway. Then they decided that wasn't good enough. Kids needed a jump start... so they started offering kindergarten for those who wanted it. It really wasn't school of course... more slightly organized playtime. It was just a way to get the kids aclimated to being away from home during the day.

But that wasn't enough either... so kindergarten became mandatory. After that it evolved into what the first grade used to be. Now its organized. Its not play time. And so its trickled down.

Playschool... which is what kids went to in the 70s and 80s is now Pre-school. Its developed into the kindegarden for kindegarden. Where as it used to be a few hours of supervised free-play and snack time one or two days a week... its now a 5-day a week 4 hour per day school schedule that mimmicks the public school system in almost every way possible.

For what?

So they can have jump start for thier jump start? This is progress? We've got preschools teaching 3 year olds about Abraham Lincoln for crying out loud. I don't see what a 50-year-old man should give a damn about politics... much less a 3-year-old boy.

And of course... the next step... is mandatory preschool. So follow the pattern... what's next? Right.. Pre-preschool.

I wonder just how much of this is related to genuine consern for education, and how much of it has to do with lazy parents who would rather shop all day than raise their kids. I've already met at least one mom who told me she didn't bother potty training her son because the preschool did it for her.

Its not enough that we torment our kids with 12 years of forced indoctrination... transforming them from humans to quadraped consumerist worker-bees... pack animals. No... better we should do it for 13... no... 14.

Lets face it... they're not really your kids anyway. They're society's kids.

Now hand them over and shut up.

Long Range Target Shooting

Erik axes: What would be a good rifle? Models, not just rounds. I am assuming y'all are gonna say the .308.

The .308 is a great little cartridge but its not my first choice for true long range target shooting. The bullet drop at 500 yards is considerable... at 1000 yards its like you're firing mortor rounds. Once the drops is easier to communicate in feet than inches... its a little pointless. Don't get me wrong... holding say... 6 feet over a target 1000 yards away really only involves moving the rifle a tiny bit. Still... the flatter the better says I.

Lets start with models though before we get to specific on cartridges, because all the long range rifles are cambered appropriately.

I also need to know what you're considering long range. If you're looking for a long range Varmint rifle... true long range hunter? I mean... if you're just punching holes in paper at 300 yards then we can go with a 22-250 and shoot all day.. but if you want to reach out to 1000 yards and still have enough enegry to take out a good sized mammal... well... then we're talking long action big hitters.

I suspect some of you know what's coming...

- Savage:
116 FHSAK - its got an on-off muzzle break to take the beating off your shoulder. This makes a big difference. Turn the muzzle break on and recoil is seriously reduced. This weapon has the accu-trigger which means you can adjust the pull from 1 pound to 6 pounds without takin' it to a gunsmith. Lots of gun for the money. I'd be looking at .338 win mag or 7mm Rem mag in this one.

A-Bolt Eclipes Hunter with BOSS: I love the thumbhole stock. The BOSS system improves accuracy and reduces felt recoil. Plus... it says Browning on it... therefore you know its accurate. Get this one in 7mm rem mag.

Ok... I've got to split for now. I'll offer a few more suggestions.. Including a write up on the Winchester Model 70... pre-64 of course.

I'm sure the boys will help to.

Predators Tonight!

Me and my buddy got club level tickets to the preds game tonight against Toronto. Any of you Nashville locals planning on going to the game? If you've never been you've got to give 'em a chance. These games are so much fun. The crowd is loud and lively. There are all manner of chants and cheers... many of which will keep you laughing even if you don't know anything about hockey.

They're the best team in Hockey... and its the best chance Nashville has had of winning a world championship since 2000.

Hope to see y'all there.

Kiwi Asks:

"So Nate, if a man uses psychological manipulation to keep his 6 year old stepdaughter from resisting his sexual advances, that's not rape because he didn't need to use a gun? If a man uses a severely mentally disabled woman to satisfy his desires, that's not rape because he didn't have to physically force her?"

Well to start off with the former is Child Molestation... not rape. Every sexual offense is not defined as rape, and just because its not rape, that doesn't mean its a lesser crime. In most cases child molestors spend more time in jail than rapists do. Well... it used to be that way... If I had my way Child Molesters would be shot in the head on the courthouse steps.

As for the latter... that's a tricky subject indeed... taking advantage of a severely retarded female... I mean... consider this quote from Amanda Marcotte... the former lead blogger for John Edwards Presidential Campaign:

"One thing I vow here and now–you motherfuckers who want to ban birth control will never sleep. I will fuck without making children day in and out and you will know it and you won’t be able to stop it. Toss and turn, you mean, jealous motherfuckers. I’m not going to be “punished” with babies. Which makes all your efforts a failure. Some non-procreating women escaped. So give up now. You’ll never catch all of us. Give up now."

Are we going find every guy who's ever suffered through intercourse with this mongoloid and fill up the gulags?

In the name of mercy haven't they been punished enough?
Stay With It

I post this for those who may mistakenly believe that Lars Ulrich is a badass drummer.

The solo starts a little while into it.... pay attention... notice what he's doing with a single bass drum and a single pedal. Notice what he's doing with a single hand. Notice that during the solo he adusts the ride cymbal's stand. And lastly... note how freakishly bored he looks.

Bad Ass.
Delayed Gratification

Scrimping through medical school and residency may pay off after all.

I should point out what led us to this decision. Indeed this is not at all the vehicle I planned to get. I wanted a Yukon XL or a Denali. I had fantasies about a diesel Excursion but I had no luck finding one. At any rate... we wanted some very specific things that lead us to this truck.

1) Quad seating. That is... second row captains chairs. Makes it real easy to get to the third row.

2) DVD

3) Navigation System. Shut up. Its crack. Once you've had it, you can never do without it.

4) Seating for a minimum of 6.

5) Room for a week's luggage for those 6.

We found all sorts of vehicles that met most of the requirements... but they wouldn't have a Nav... or the wouldn't have a DVD... or they'd have both but they wouldn't have captains chairs.

We looked at the Denali... but we couldn't find one that met our requirements. We looked at Suburbans... In the end... we stumbled on to this after we were about to settle for a Denali with a second-row bench. If I could've found a suburban so equiped... I would've gotten it.

Rape, Incest, and Murder

On this clear night I am moved to defend those who have few defenders.

Tell me... what is it that the child of incest has done that is so horrible he should forfiet his life? Has he murdered? Has he raped? Has he stolen?

No. His only sin is his existence.

And yet... it is because of his existence that you would see him torn apart... or chemicaly burned to death.

What is it... friends... that the child of rape has done to make him so guilty... that he should be sentenced to die, not at the hands of a court... but a single emotional woman?

See... its considered an extreme view isn't it? Denying abortion to victims of rape or incest? Why? What is it about the children who will be violently and painfully killed that is so offensive?

I've blogged at length about the myth of abortions being performed to save the life of the mother. This is extremely rare. Its basicly limited to the cases of ectopic pregnancies.... and guess what? The babies won't survive anyway. The number of cases where-in a healthy baby's gestation and birth would kill the mother... well... to be blunt... they just don't exist. I shouldn't say that... they do exist... I mean... babies are born with 2 heads for crying out loud. If you can think of it medically, its happened. However... I fail to see how 2 lottery winners a decade should affect the law as it relates to the deaths of millions unborn.

So let me state my position clearly.

If you're raped... abortion should not be an option for you. Why? Because the baby didn't rape you. She's not guilty of anything, and killing her is not justice. I'm sorry your attacker did such a thing. I'll make a deal with you... You have the baby and either keep it or give it up for adoption, and we kill the rapist by ripping him limb from limb or burning him to death chemicly.

Fair enough?

See... it all boils down to what the definition of Human is. Is an egg a human? Is sperm? No. But if you define Human as more than the combination of a human egg and human sperm... well lets be honest for a minute... you can't.

Are we really going to define human rights by physical location? Oh... I'm sorry... you're not in the right place right now... even though you didn't choose to be there... but we're going to torture and kill you anyway. Thanks for playing.

So its age then? Because that's what stages of developement are. Is it less wrong to kill an 80 year old woman than a 30 year old woman? Some would argue that its sadder in the case of the younger... because she had so much more life taken from her. But doesn't that same logic say that the unborn have their whole life ahead of them?

Ancient cultures celebrate the first birth day 3 months after the child is born. Why? Pregnancies last 9 months... do the math.

No one wants to look at a rape victim and tell her she's pregnant. No one wants to tell her she has to have the baby.

On the other hand... no one wants to be ripped, torn, or cut to pieces... to die a brutal... violent death... for no other sin than their own existence.

And ya know... before you say this isn't personal... that these are big words from a man... please be aware... I have a friend... a white lady from a racist family, who was raped by a black man... and she had the baby. Her family practicly disowned her because when she refused to murder the child they figured she must not have been raped after all.

Yet still she had the baby and put him up for adoption.

What greater love is there?

Does she regret it? Hell no. She still keeps track of his birthday and thinks about him a lot.

That's what baby killers don't understand. Its not about them. Its about the innocent they want to kill.

Its interesting how the definition of a word changes over time... sometimes so much so that it loses all meaning... and just becomes a universal negative. I'm sure ever school girl can tell you that fascists are bad... but she can't tell you why. When pressed she'll shuffle her feet and mumble. She may make some gurgling noises about rights that she also doesn't understand.

I'd like to take this time to roll back history to 1919... and remind you all that Fascism is an ideology, and a very concrete and specific one. It was the primary ideology of Italy's government during halftime of the Great World War.

So take the blinders off for a moment... strip away the negative conotation the word fascist has, and logically look at the ideology.

With Vox's Permission...

The Manifesto of the Fascist Struggle, published in The People of Italy on June 6, 1919.

Italians! Here is the program of a genuinely Italian movement. It is revolutionary because it is anti-dogmatic, strongly innovative and against prejudice.

For the political problem:

We demand:

a) Universal suffrage polled on a regional basis, with proportional representation and voting and electoral office eligibility for women.
b) A minimum age for the voting electorate of 18 years; that for the office holders at 25 years.
c) The abolition of the Senate.
d) The convocation of a National Assembly for a three-years duration, for which its primary responsibility will be to form a constitution of the State.
e) The formation of a National Council of experts for labor, for industy, for transportation, for the public health, for communications, etc. Selections to be made from the collective professionals or of tradesmen with legislative powers, and elected directly to a General Commission with ministerial powers.

For the social problems:

We demand:

a) The quick enactment of a law of the State that sanctions an eight-hour workday for all workers.
b) A minimum wage.
c) The participation of workers' representatives in the functions of industry commissions.
d) To show the same confidence in the labor unions (that prove to be technically and morally worthy) as is given to industry executives or public servants.
e) The rapid and complete systemization of the railways and of all the transport industries.
f) A necessary modification of the insurance laws to invalidate the minimum retirement age; we propose to lower it from 65 to 55 years of age.

For the military problem:

We demand:

a) The institution of a national militia with a short period of service for training and exclusively defensive responsibilities.
b) The nationalization of all the arms and explosives factories.
c) A national policy intended to peacefully further the Italian national culture in the world.

For the financial problem:

We demand:

a) A strong progressive tax on capital that will truly expropriate a portion of all wealth.
b) The seizure of all the possessions of the religious congregations and the abolition of all the bishoprics, which constitute an enormous liability on the Nation and on the privileges of the poor.
c) The revision of all military contracts and the seizure of 85 percent of the profits therein.

That's the accurate translation. That is Fascism as an ideology.

That is the uncomfortable truth that liberals must face. Fascism is an extreme left-wing ideology.

Boring game... Boring commercials... absolutely the most surreal pre-game ever... I mean... the Colts and Bears... in Drumline form? The unintenional comedy factor was just huge. I've never seen anything as ridiculous as that... at least off the top of my head I can't remember anything.

I liked the one Bud commerical... with the Crabs worshiping the cooler.... all the rest were lame. The doritos fan commercial was just embarassing. I'm sorry... but a fat chick who gets turned on by food isn't particularly funny to me... its just.... uncomfortable.

Anyway... the rain kept it from being as bad a blowout as I predicted... but its still a joke to claim that Chicago ever had a chance. I've never seen such an impotent offense in the Super Bowl, and I've rarely seen such a hyped defense get abused so badly.

Anyway... a bummer of an evening... except that the Colts won... so that means I was right... and I like being right. As a bonus, I don't have to listen to morons talk about Manning choking anymore.

We apologize but in honor of Amanda Marcotte this post has been removed.
Colts Win Big

Here's why.

Everyone seems to be confused about this matchup. The big names like Bill Simmons and Peter King keep saying that they know they should pick the Bears, because in the Superbowl, the strong D always beats the strong O.

There's a problem with that though.

The Bears Defense just isn't that good. Am I the only one in the country that remembers the Cardinals ripping them to pieces?

The matchup of the bigtime D verses the Bigtime O already happened. The Colts already beat the Ravens. This Bears D isn't fit to be named in the same breath (Exhale) with the Ravens.

Some people know it of course. Folks like Vox say things like, "If the Bears can stay close early..." blah blah blah. In other words... if Indy comes out cold and plays like crap... Then the Bears have a shot.

Oh good. Quite a ringing endorsement.

Speaking of endorsements... enjoy the commercials... because the game's gonna be over by halftime.

Indy 45 Chicago 14

Luke's ATF

Yeah Baby!

Its Batf tonight because we just got home from bowling. I love bowling... but I suck at it. I mention this because my beautiful and loving wife gave me a "valentines day" prize early. I put quotes around it because let's be honest... men don't get valentines day prizes. Girls do. But what did I get???

The coolest bowling shirt ever! Its black... and it has two lanes running up the front of it with pins. I'll throw a pick up if I can find one. Way cool. Someone should've been wearing this shirt in the Big Lebowski.

And now... on to the traditional ATF stuff... where I compensate for my lack of testosterone by pretending to be interested in things that I'm not really interested in... thus making myself feel better about doing "woman's work" all day. But let's get on with it... shall we?

Lets focus on the 1911 project for a minute. I mentioned I went novak on the front... bomar on the back... I've picked out the trigger.. and I thought I had the barrel picked as well... but now I've decided I may want to comp them. Do any of you have favorite compensators? I'd love to hear suggestions.

As for asthetics... they are carbon slides with parkerized frames... so black frames and silver slides. I'm thinking stainless pins and hexnuts on the grips... and speaking of grips... what do y'all think? Something cool or something traditiona? Obviously I'm leaning toward something highly custom and a little out there. Suggestions are also welcome.

Come on... I know you all have opinions on what your dream 1911 would have... well... I'm building two of them. Let's hear it!

While we're on the subject of firearms... I thought I'd share one of the tricks of the tactical trade. Here's the situation:

You're in your room with the door open. Bad man is in the hall outside. How do you get him?

There are lots of options. For one... you can close the door, lock it, then blast it with a shotgun when he jiggles the knob. This is a dirty and dangerous method... but it can be made to work with some care and planning. Its not my favorite.

A slightly less dirty way.. especially if you have a hi-cap 9mm... is as follows:

Inside your room you begin shooting the floor as you move. Don't look where you're shooting... just make sure you're shooting away from your feet. After a shot or two you should be in the hall facing the badman... who will be freaking out because of the shooting. Shoot him.

This whole tactic should take maybe 4 shots with the last one hitting the badman. If you need to dump 5 or 6 more into him... be my guest. It is after all a 9mm. The main thing to remember here is speed. You need to be fast and you need to have a decent idea of where he is before you start.

My favorite method of course is to let the dogs occupy the poor bastard while I step out and shoot him.

Tobacco... hrm... Anyone chew? I find my eyes lingering on the chew lately. What's that about? Them big twists look damned good.

oh... and booze.. it is Friday night after all.... hrm... NewCastle Brown Ale... and Modelo Especial. I'm begining to think I have a new favorite beer y'all... but I can't decide which one of these it is.
Oh Fun!!!

Say y'all... if you get bored... and I mean really bored... a local Nashville blog has linked to the post below this one. As you can imagine... the openminded liberals there are having fun making fun of my being a stay-at-home dad.

Their comments are hilarious.

I don't advice wasting your time commenting there though... who knows what sort of diseases one can pick from such places. I'm not saying that stupid is contegeous... but who knows?
The Myth of Untapped Resources

I hear it a lot... I read it a lot... its a huge feminist talking point. The worlds greatest untapped resource... is girls!

I swear woodchippers should come with labels... Insert Feminist Here.

Lets just think about this shall we? If girls are an untapped resource than we must conclude that women are not, or were not, participating in the economy. This is of course... completely ludicrous, but that doesn't matter... because its a catchy little phrase... and people don't think about catchy little phrases. They just instantly believe them.

Well.. I for one would like to take a moment to shred this one.

Women have always participated in the economy. They were consumers. They were also producers. Producers of what? Producers of the real source of wealth; more Producers.

A Career Girl goes to work... and she produces X. Most likely she'll have 1 child at most... and that child will be raised, not by a loving family, but by daycare "teachers" making minimum wage... watching over the childern just enough to make sure blood doesn't spill. These workers have no vested interest in the outcome of the children they watch. This experiment has been going on for a couple decades and the results have not been pretty. There is no reason to think these kids are turning out as well as the ones produced by the old system.

A Mom? She has 2, 3, 4, or 5 kids... all raised in a loving household with generations of evidence that shows that these kids will grow up to be producers.... hardworking positive members of society. If she has 2... then she has doubled the economic benefit of the Career Girl. The difference is, the Career Girl appears to be benefitting the economy at present, where as the Mom really is benefiting the economy of the future.

We're trading 2 or 3 accountants 20 years from now for 1 accountant now.

Girls... I know math is hard... but that's not a good trade... and you should know that.

On top of that... Career Girls don't actually help the economy at all.

A Career Girl goes out and gets a job. Very rarely however does she actually produce something beyond a pretty presentation or pie chart. For all their bluster women don't go out there and start businesses. Career girls don't anyway. Plenty of women go out and become self employed in various ways... and they are indeed participating in the economy and they are indeed producing something. Good for them. But the vast majority of Career Girls don't do that. They get hired, and go about the business of destroying things with BS paperwork... needless regulation... increased bureacracy... gossip... and general problem causing.

Hundreds of thousands of productive man hours are lost every year dealing with problems and complications caused by women in management, or women in the workplace.

That's not to say that women can't work. It does mean that the best solution for a woman who works is a dad that doesn't... and when she works she should conform to the workplace. The workplace should not be changed to suit her. Not because men are big meanies... but because doing so would reduce production.

Now... if you'll excuse me... I have to make a phone call to call Troy-Bilt... they have some issues with their labelling I need to help them resolve.

Ruminate on This

The spirit of rebellion in men creates atheists.

The spirit of rebellion in women creates feminists.
