ATF Show Tonight!

Here is the link to the show tonight.  We go live at 10pm central.

The call in number is there if you want to check in.  I'm keeping one line open in case Vox decides to call in and concede the debate live on the air.

Tune in.  The show rocks.

***UPDATE***

The same link takes you to the archived version... complete with 15 minutes of bonus material that... as usual... are the best part of the show.

Hey, VP lurker here.
I hope you keep producing the ATF Show. There's some humour and its educational! And now I'm listening to They Might Be Giants.

Nate said...

Ok kids... listen to it in the archive. The last 15 minutes have all the gun talk.

Nate said...

That's a rap kids. I hope ya like enjoyed it.

Vidad said...

It totally cut off with me talking about my dirty gun.

Vidad said...

"And now I'm listening to They Might Be Giants."

My work is done.

Res Ipsa said...

I caught part of it. Funny stuff. Where you drinking oregano or smoking it?

Nate said...

So apparently every week now someone is going to have to have a chick bring them a sandwich.

That alone is reason enough for this to be the best show on the planet.

Yeah, it's the thumbhole stock, nice woody smell when it's on your cheek.
Non-fancy 4x scope till I decide what I really want on there.
Cssspec 20rd mags (nice), ie $20+ of .308 go down range pretty quick.
For poodles, misbehavers, engine blocks etc.

A little late and although posting as anonymous a few Fridays ago and writing I won't make any comments I'm driven to eat my words:

A: Elijah Craig 12yo

T: Brickhouse Robusto

F: Sig P238 CC

Great place you got here. Very interested in the econ debate since my degree is in Finance/Economics. Great stuff.

Nate said...

Glad ya like it Chris. Stop by anytime.

p238. Nice.

Lana said...

Ok, I haven't even listened to this yet and it's already a win based only on the picture you chose.

Lana said...

You should be aware of the ad right next to the broadcast link featuring a rather large woman's backside in white spandex with the caption, "Give Ugly Girls A Chance, They need love too!" It's possible, given your audience, that this could make listening to the entire broadcast difficult to endure.

Nate said...

ok.. ummm... in my window its showing a verizon ad.

Lana said...

OK, I'm an idiot. It changed to a cruise line ad when I clicked back on it. I really enjoyed the gun talk portion. I don't know much about the various types and I'm trying to learn more. Thanks!

jm said...

He didn't call in to concede, he locked his twitter profile... some shenanigans goin' on.

Late, but...

A: Knob Creek Reserve Single Barrel

T: Alas, no.

F: Sig Sauer Nightmare Edition 1911 (w/bobbed butt).

toothy

Nate said...

Lots of Sig guys around these days. I must say y'all clean up nicer than the kimber crowd.

Anonymous said...

Thank you.

Kimbers are overrated (quite a bit) in my opinion. They have kick-ass magazine adds, though, and an almost Harleyesque fanboy following, for whatever reasons. I have a couple, they're ok, but nothing extraordinary.

I have a few Norinco 1911's too.
I like guns that work, and I'm all about diversity... ;) If you can find one of those Norcs, they make a great base for a custom gun.

Nate said...

I can't stand Kimbers... mostly because their customer service is just pathetic.

When companies like Taurus and Springfield and Sig are out there bending over backwards to make sure you're happy... why deal with the pricks at Kimber?

Anonymous said...

"why deal with the pricks at Kimber?"

Indeed.

BTW, I forgot to tell you I really enjoyed both ATF episodes (archive versions). Thanks to all involved.

Now, I need to tell my wife to go make me a sammich...

I'm going to buy my first two guns this week. I plan on buying a shotgun and a rifle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How much do you want to spend?

Maybe $1500 total, or am I way too low?

Kimber guns are fine. The customer service does suck. That's what happpens when you run a company from New York.

Lenny,

Hard to answer with the info provided. What do you want them for? Hunting, Personal Defense, competition?

For shotgun a 12 gauge Mossberg 500 or 535 would be a good fit for about $400 give or take. Can be configured easily for just about any

For a rifle depends on what you are using it for. To much wiggle room there.

Barring the need for anything to crazy you could get a rifle and shotgun to cover most situations for $1500.

Little Late but:

A- Seagrams (again)

T- nada this week

F- Colt 6920 with EOTech 512 scope. Also shot my buddies Springfield XDM .45 APC again. If he brings that damn thing out one more time I will have to give in.

I don't need it, but damn I want it.

I got the Basil Chopin and was laughing my ass off till you gave up the joke.

John Williams said...

Beretta got the pistol contract because Italy threatened to close NATO bases in Italy if they didn't.

I've been told that by an old Air Force guy.

Vidad said...

"I got the Basil Chopin and was laughing my ass off till you gave up the joke."

I couldn't believe my co-host was missing that one. Glad someone got it.

I made up a joke the other day that fell totally flat.

Knock knock.

"Who's there?"

Hawk.

"Hawk who?"

No thanks. I prefer sonnets.

Everyone stared at me. I said "Come one... you know... 5 syllables... then 7... then 5?"

And then my wife asked me if I knew the meter sonnets were composed in.

I told her I wasn't sure... but I was quite familiar with the "parking meter."

Someone said "Parking meter?"

I replied, "Yes... that's only for poems about transportation, however."

Anyhow... all that to say, I am unfortunately prone to a certain penchant for esoteric puns that doesn't overlap well with the grime, blood and bullets world of our illustrious host...

Vidad said...

*Come on

Nate said...

I nearly had it.... then you said composer joke... but I heard "compose your joke." and it was totally lost after that.

I guess it just never occured to me that someone didn't know that Basil Hayden was a distiller at Jim Beam and the product was his old recipe.

Vidad said...

"I guess it just never occured to me that someone didn't know that Basil Hayden was a distiller at Jim Beam and the product was his old recipe."

It's not the knowing or not-knowing... it's the overwhelming lure to pun that gets me. Dang it.

Nate said...

I still haven't gotten over the "root" joke.

Julie randomly breaks into giggles over that to this day.
