Reason to Hate Yankee #2,456

Apparently... this is actually happening.

"Some wealthy Manhattan moms have figured out a way to cut the long lines at Disney World — by hiring disabled people to pose as family members"

That's all you really need to know.  But I strongly suggest you read the whole revolting article.  The depths of evil are profound.

It doesn't speak well to the moral character of the mother that did the hiring but the tactic is pretty clever.

I mean, who doesn't hate the lines at Disney World?

Would the handicapped person be able to afford the trip to Disney on their own? They're getting something out of this too. They seem to think it's worth being exploited in this way. Assuming they're conscious of the exploitation.

I guess we should be just as incensed over businesses that get women and/or minorities to pose as owners in order to get preference for government contracts.

I think the biggest issue I have with it... is the way it is employed as a status symbol.

That is pretty sick.

The Southern Method is to simply eat yourself into a handicapped wheelchair-bound condition... then cut the lines all on your own.

Down here we take charge of our own destinies and eliminate the crippled middlemen.

Having had a 3 year-old with cancer, and receiving the awesome Make-A-Wish trip to DisneyWorld
A) cutting line legitimately is pretty cool
B) these people are too slimey for decent people to even talk about

So do the handicap plants get a free ride?
