ATF: Plans... Just Plans

Well dammit... by now I was supposed to have two solid reviews up from guest bloggers...  and so far the only thing that has come up is the knife review I did my damned self.  Luke was supposed to write up a review on that MVP patrol he got... but he's off chasing some split tail instead of going to the range like a civilized man aught.

Couple other guys were on board to write reviews and they haven't come through yet either.

Dicks.

Man what a day...  UPS showed up with my wilson combat springs and pins.  Yes... I'm building yet another 1911.  A man has to have a hobby ok? I don't fish. What do you what me to do?  Take up golf?  I build 1911s and ARs.  That's what I do.  Deal with it.

So anyway I'm stoked to get this thing assembled and see what it will do.  I've got a threaded barrel on this one... for no reason what-so-ever.

but no.

I have twin two-year-olds.  And they decided to play paint the walls and carpet with blue loc-tite.

Ah well

A:  Lots.  Becks Sapphire for now...  Russel's Reserve later.

T:  couple of sweet smoked stowed for tomorrow.  I hope to post about that then.

F:  Well I meant to talk about my sweet newly completed 1911... but no...  so instead...  I'm just going to fume...  and drink.  But mostly drink.

Chocolate Ice cream! So no booze or smokes

F: Bane's favorite

bane's favorite?

you have a hello kitty glock?

Bane told about how he shot the lights out during his police training with his super blackhawk and speedloaders. I pointed out that he must have meant a super redhawk becasue the cylinder doesn't open on a blackhawk.

Hello Kitty Glock sounds closer to SB.

A: Blue Ribbon.
T: Skipping it tonight just because I'm empty and working. Can't justify the drive to grab em
F: 20 Mossberg. I need to clean this shit, but ain't happening tonight.

Sucks about the reviews, Nate. I'd give ya something if I felt I could properly review weapons. I could do a booze or two for ya. I got solid experience on that. But it would possibly involve scotch.

Booze is good. Scotch is not.

You haven't lived until your tots paint chocolate brown bedroom carpet with Desitin zinc ointment. You know the kind of white greasy stuff used by lifeguards on their noses, or by parents of babies with very sensitive skin? And being a girl, she had to spread it all over her face and legs like lotion. Baby wipes is the only thing that will remove that greasy stuff.

We are talking white hand prints all over deep chocolate carpet. Benefit though, I hated that carpet. It is like the black hole of carpeting, that color.

Did the girls make sure they were well painted as well? Oh I am chuckling over this one. I don't even know what blue loc-tite is and it sounds bad. What removes it off skin without removing toddler skin? I hope you got photos suitable for blackmail when they hit their rebellious teen years. Or if you decide you want to let their future romantic interests know exactly what they are getting into.

Nate,

I just joined a building club. I get access to a CNC machine, metal lathe, and other stuff. I plan to build the recoil buffer there and my vision of a bullpup rifle, instead of paying 2 grand to have someone else do it.

I was thinking that while i am at it, I should build the ultimate in self defense technology...the Natebot Personal Defense Drone. Dont know what it will look like yet, but it will be totally bad assed, and capable of maximum mayhem...probably in 45 caliber pistol and 7-08 rifle. Perhaps a high speed rotary knife blade for close in tactical ninja/SOG fighting.

Gotta have at least one Confederate Battle Flag etched into the layered carbon fiber+aramid boron carbide-aluminum cermet/boron nitride reinforced Rolled homogenous armor

I wont sell to the USG, with the possible exception of National Guard units in the old south and KY.

sincerely

Just got back from the local liquor store and have a question for the resident liquor expert.

The store had several brands in stock of "ghost whiskey". Now I get what it is, probably made without the caramel coloring or whatever gives it that gorgeous color, but is it as good? If they leave out a major component, will the taste be the same or does it change it that much?

Without the caramel color, it looks like cheap moonshine.

Susan

The caramel color comes from aging in the charred oak barrels. The white whiskey you are seeing is unaged. cheap moonshine is exactly what it is.

Nate,

I'm intrigued by your DIY 45. I've thought about building one too. What do you use for instructions hints etc? Is it available on-line or something I need to order?

By federal law, doesn't whiskey need to spend so many days in an (oak?) barrel or else it simply isn't whiskey?

That's bourbon, I believe, ajw.

Whiskey you can put right into Mason jars and it still counts as whiskey.
